In March, Britney Spears was ordered to pay $375,000 to her ex Kevin Federline’s lawyers for representing him in their long, drawn-out custody battle for their two young boys. This came after she footed a $120,000 legal bill for K-Fed in November.

So that makes $495,000 Britney paid just to her ex husband’s legal team. In mid July she ultimately settled with Federline without going to court and he now has sole physical and legal custody of Sean Preston, who turns three next month, and Jayden James, nearly two. Britney has three days a week with her sons plus one overnight. All those lawyers hammering out the details for the custody agreement will cost Britney dearly, though. One of her lawyers wants over $300,000 in legal fees.

Lawyer Stacy Phillips wants $338,414.87 for representing Britney, and she claims that’s a discount. Britney’s former divorce attorney Laura Wasser ended up completing the case and her bill is a comparatively reasonable $60,000 for two months worth of work.

Britney Spears shot a promo for the MTV VMA´s yesterday with this years host Russell Brand… Ohh yeah there was an elephant in the mix. The promo was shot in a paramount studio, its mostly about Russell asking Brit for advice on how to run the show.

A source told E!’s Marc Malkin about the promo, “It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show. There’s also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in ‘the elephant in the room.‘ “

17 year-old Jamie Lynn Spears took her 7 week-old daughter, Maddie Briann, to a pediatrician yesterday. She went out for lunch at NYLA’s burger basket and to a friend’s house and was also spotted at a Walmart in McComb, Mississippi. Britney’s younger sister looked annoyed and considering all places she was seen the photographers must have followed her all day. She is said to have been reluctant to do her last interview with OK! which included photos of Maddine in her new home in Liberty, Mississippi. The resulting interview was full of superlatives about how perfect and great everything is with her new baby.

The latest from OK! is that Jamie Lynn is planning a fall wedding with her fiance, Casey Aldridge, 19, to take place at home. I assumed that they had some insider information since they have a relationship with Jamie Lynn’s family after paying her a million for the pregnancy announcement and baby photos. Interestingly enough, OK! claims the exact same thing this week about Jennifer Aniston planning a fall wedding in her backyard, a story her rep calls a “complete fabrication.” Maybe the Jamie Lynn wedding story is made up too and she just didn’t call them on it.

About two weeks before Maddie was born, a photographer was arrested in the small town where Jamie Lynn lives on suspicion of stalking her. He was let out on bond and we haven’t heard much about it since. The arrest didn’t solve her problem with photographers, judging from these pictures.

Telegraph reports that Britney Spears will play a killer lesbian stripper Varla in Tarantino’s remake of the 1965 cult film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

New parents Jamie-Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are busy planning their wedding, which will reportedly take place before the end of 2008.

The teen couple welcomed its first child, Maddie, into the world last month, and Zoey 101 star Spears, 17, and 19-year-old Aldridge want to seal the deal with a wedding in the groom’s hometown of Liberty, Mississippi, where they share a home.

According to Ok! magazine, the pair - engaged since March - is planning a low-key southern-style wedding, but Jamie-Lynn’s superstar sister Britney is expected to step in as maid of honour.

A source tells the tabloid, “She loves everything about the area where she lives. She’s not going to get married at some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverly Hills.”

And the bride-to-be has been working out furiously to shed her baby weight so she can fit into the wedding dress of her dreams.

The insider adds, “She’s already down to her pre-pregnancy weight.”
